After graduation from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine with a Master of Science degree in Accounting & Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Jerry worked for many years in Corporate Accounting and Finance for several large companies. One of his more interesting jobs was working for ITT Continental Baking Company as the Comptroller at the Wonder Bread bakery in Tampa, FL. There is nothing quite like the smell and taste of warm, freshly baked bread. A favorite job was as CFO/VP-Finance for Pullman Construction Industries Inc., in Chicago. At the time Jerry was there, Pullman was one of the world’s largest HVAC contractors with a great history of having designed heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for iconic buildings, like the Sears Tower in Chicago. He was also a Division Controller for US Home Corporation, which at the time was one of the largest home builders in the country and built many of the communities in Clearwater, Tampa and other locations along Florida’s Gulf Coast. For several years Jerry was Executive VP of Health Craft Inc., a nationwide sales & marketing company with corporate offices in Tampa. In addition to working for others, Jerry has also started and managed several companies in various industries including: A-1 Wood Crafters Inc. (Custom Cabinets), Fab Tech LLC (Manufacturing), Guardian Rail Systems (Distribution) and currently owns Suncoast Financial Services an Accounting & Tax Practice that he started in 2013. Throughout his career, Jerry has built a reputation for being a master at managing and controlling cash flow, finding ways to grow any business, and building morale at all levels of the organization.
